Last night, I had the fortune (due to my awesome birthday giving skills) of seeing Darren Criss live at the House of Blues in Boston with my friend Acacia. And it was totally awesome. Like supermegafoxyawesomehot awesome.
Acacia and I arrived in Boston by train around 12:30pm and took the subway to Fenway Park, which is right across from the venue. We went to the House of Blues restaurant and ate food until we were completely full. We shared an appetizer (buffalo and terriyaki wings), got our own dinner (I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, she ordered a veggie wrap), and shared a dessert (nutella cheesecake). Holy mother of God was that cheesecake AMAZING. Best cheesecake I have ever had.
Since we had gotten food from the venue's restaurant, we were able to go in the "VIP line," which meant we got to go in earlier than the general line. Even so, we stood outside for three hours to wait for the doors to open.

Once 6pm came around, our line was let in, and within the hour, the concert began. Darren had two opening acts-- Charlene Kaye and Theo Katzman. Both were amazing, and are now artists I will be listening to! And when Darren came on? It got supermegafoxyawesomehot all up in the place. He sang some songs from his EP "Human," StarKid musicals, covers, and songs from his new album "Listen Up." It was all amazing. He is great live...which I know because I saw him when I went to a Glee concert a few years ago. But, to see him in his own element, performing his own songs--it was even better. Here is a video of him. It is of him singing "Not Alone" with Michelle Chamuel (The Voice finalist). I wasn't able to record full video of the song because my phone decided to be mean and have no memory space left. :(
Nevertheless, I leave you with the voice of an angel!
