It's been a few Monday's since my very first Music Monday. So, for this Music Monday, I will not post mere songs, but ALBUMS. You did not see that coming, did you?!! It's a game changer!
Anyway, here are five albums I love so much that I listen to them on repeat.
Anyway, here are five albums I love so much that I listen to them on repeat.
RED by Taylor Swift No matter what anyone says about how her music on this album is the least country she has ever been, I still am completely in love with it. I love each song in its own way, whether it's for the lyrics, melody, or specific instruments used. That is why I cannot pick a favorite from the album. However, some standouts: Starlight, All Too Well, and Holy Ground. Taylor has veered from her country music roots, but in my opinion, she has matured in her music (and her voice). I will always love both old T-Swift and new T-Swift. RED is an album that shows how she has improved from her first album when she was 15 years old (!!!), vocally and musically. RED is an album you can listen to anywhere, at any time. |
The Heist by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis When my sister showed me the video for Same Love, at that moment, I knew Macklemore was the real deal. I started to listening to all of his music, and became a big fan. He is now my favorite rapper. The Heist is an album that is like no other rap album. It has real substance. So many other rap songs have lyrics about how drugs and drinking are cool, that objectifying women is cool...Macklemore's lyrics emphasize the dark side of drugs and drinking (from him being an addict), and has the utmost respect for women. The Heist is a great album to jam out to on a long car ride, or by yourself in your room. Either way, it is magnificent. |
+ (Deluxe) by Ed Sheeran Talent (tal-uh nt): Ed Sheeran. Seriously, Ed Sheeran is the definition of talent. His songs on his breakthrough album + (Deluxe) are masterpieces that show the complexity of emotion and life, whether good or bad. One of my favorite songs from this album has to be Give Me Love. It is such a beautiful song...and so is + (Deluxe). Each song is an individual story. This is an album you can play while your parents are around. They will actually like some of the music you listen to! |
The Bling Ring: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Various Artists Even if you haven't seen the movie, this album is still awesome. Featuring songs from MIA, The Sleighbells, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean, the album goes along with the movie, and the order of the songs actually parallells the rise and fall/progression of the characters in the film. It fits the essence of the film, and gives you some nice dance songs to jam out to. The Bling Ring: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is an album that makes you awake and upbeat, ready to take over the town (or even steal from some celebrities). |
Dietro Le Apparenze by Giorgia I'm going to go international on you guys, and introduce some Italian music. Giorgia is a famous Italian pop singer that has an amazing voice. I was fortunate to see her live last summer while I was in Italy, and she was great. Even if you don't understand the lyrics, it is still a nice album to listen to. If you decide to look at translated lyrics, you might like the album even more. Dietro Le Apparenze is an album that is fun-filled and beautiful. |
